Internet Email Fraud Alert
HCUL has received several calls from your members asking if the League sent them a survey. The illegitimate surveys are using the
Hawaii Credit Union League name and logo to lure unsuspecting recipients of the email to divulge personal financial information.
Please do not respond. We are notifying the appropriate authorities to ensure the counterfeit website is shut down.
These messages are scams and should be deleted. There is no monetary award for filling out the form -- this is an identity theft
scam. HCUL will never solicit e-mails requesting your credit union username, password, pin number, or other personal identity
information.
Internet Email Fraud - Credit Cards
We have been informed that the CSCU website has been targeted in a phishing scam. CSCU has identified that some cardholders have
received an e-mail message indicating that if they click on the CSCU link and complete a 5 question survey they are eligible to win
$50. If they click on the link, pertinent cardholder information, such as account number is being requested.
CSCU is working to determine the cause and to shut down the access/phishing scam. Please note CSCU does not have cardholder data,
and never communicates directly with cardholders. Rather, they communicate only with their member credit unions. A copy of the
webpage displayed is attached for your information. If you receive questions from your members please let them know that this is not
a valid survey/request and no information should be shared via e-mail.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call Card Services at
(800) 304-2273, opt 3.
